The energy audit of buildings should begin with the study of the design of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, hot water supply, the operating mode of the building and its engineering systems, measuring the outer surfaces of the shell of the building, establishing their thermal characteristics (from the project or by calculation). Further, on the basis of these data, the heat loss is calculated by the external fences of the building; according to the actually measured performance of fans and heat transfer of heaters, the heat consumption for ventilation and air heating is determined, according to hot water meters – for hot water supply, and then - the total calculated heat consumption for the building (at the calculated outdoor temperature for heating).
