The LOTUS AIR pressureless system produces, doses and controls chlorine dioxide for water disinfection based on circulating water. It can be equipped with a ClO2 sensor (SVCL2 or SVCL17) or an mV sensor (ERH), a sensor holder and a filter. There is no need to handle chlorine dioxide as a gas, instead two diluted “precursor” chemicals, hydrochloric acid (HCl 9%) and sodium chlorite (NaClO2 7.5%), react with each other in a reaction chamber to form the required chlorine dioxide. The LOTUS AIR reaction process takes place at ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE. The chlorine dioxide produced by the LOTUS AIR is stored in a tank and then dosed proportionally to the demand. A multi-function valve guarantees process safety. Dosage is proportional to the volumetric flow rate. Chlorine dioxide is produced in a BATCH process. An activated carbon filter prevents potential evaporation.
