Basic technological cycle indicators are used to determine the initial, start operating conditions which the measures offered for implementation by the report are to be compared to. Such comparison is necessary for the objective comparison of effectiveness of the measures proposed for the implementation. As a rule, the official reported data of a sufficiently long period is taken as the base indicators. Under the terms of privacy, report authors could not use the technologic and financial management statistics, and the data placed in the public domain did not allowed to obtain the required data with required confidence level.
As agreed with the Customer, a method of resection was used in order to determine the basic technological indicators. This method means the following: the required process parameters or the technological cycle parameters are determined as of a defined period of time. The filling time of three fermenters was taken as such testing period. B-204, B-206 and B-207 units (numeration of equipment is in accordance with the production flow chart) were taken as the examined fermenters. Total resection time was 36.75 hours.
The quantity of examined units was determined under condition of possibility for comparison in order to determine the effectiveness of ETM range; the advisability of the last was evident from the authors’ experience. “Resection” of instant values of the process parameters was made on the existing and operated commercial and technological metering units. In case such records (especially concerning instant temperature values) were absent, the numerical parameter values were determined by the Customer’s means of measuring.
Raw material qualitative characteristics together with the main products at various stages of technological cycle were determined under the Ukrainian accepted methods of independent technology laboratory.
The results of used raw material analysis are shown in Table 3.8.2. Qualitative indicators of the main product are determined by the chromatographic analysis shown in Figures 3.8.3., 3.8.4. and 3.8.5. It should be considered that in the course of providing services the Customer’s staff has noted a certain technological process, namely, loading the equipment of the distillation and rectification cycles with additional quantity (volume) of raw alcohol, which is provided “off-site”. Explanation to this technological process, to the Customer’s staff opinion, is a need of fuller load of the cycles of distillation, rectification and dehydration. Qualitative analyses of raw alcohol (Figure 3.8.5) are shown only for comparison.
