Revamping of the Unit of Mixing Flour and Water during Mash Preparation

During examination process of existing technological cycle, there have been big fluctuations of mash quality detected; they were brought about both by the change of grinded grain characteristics and by the change of the quantity of water supplied for mash preparation. Detected fluctuations influence the mash quality and, as a result, the quality of wort, wash and ethanol output from wash.

    Revamping of the unit of mash preparation enables to exclude the influence of this factor. It includes:

  • Homogenizer/dismembrator installation;
  • Automatic adjustment of water amount which goes for mash preparation, namely automatic stabilization of set hydromodule of the mash
  • Realized measure will enable:

  • To stabilize the quality of mash, wort and wash;
  • To exclude misapplication of enzymes;
  • To diminish unproductive losses of ethanol and energy resources.

Implementation of the measure DEMANDS installing of the existing grain flow meter at another place. The “in-bulk” grain flow meter is installed on the pipeline of “loading of grain into storage”; it should be re-installed on the pipeline of “grain into production”. It is necessary to install two homogenizers/dismembrators, which operate under “operating + auxiliary” mode.
