Modification du schéma d'affectation des levures de production dans les fermenteurs

The scheme of utilizing dry pressed production yeast (in a dry state, directly from the refrigerator) currently employed by the enterprise is highly INEFFECTIVE, as the company's personnel confirmed during the filling of fermentation vessel V-206 (see 5.2). The application of the RECOMMENDED yeast preparation scheme increased the ethanol yield from 361.2 liters per ton of grain to 374.9 liters, or by 1.04 times.

The proposed scheme includes:

  • Modification of the gas outlet scheme from the fermentation vessel to exclude the impact of excess fermentation gas pressure on yeast viability;
  • Additional treatment of dry pressed yeast before introducing them into the fermentation vessel – the yeast is pre-heated to a temperature close to the fermentation temperature and dissolved in ready-to-use mash;
  • Disinfection of the fermentation vessel by applying antiseptic solution, as opposed to the current practice of thermal disinfection with fresh steam;
  • Elimination of acidification of the mash with sulfuric acid.

The essence and implementation method of this measure were extensively covered during the first stage of the audit and do not require additional explanations or comments.

The implementation of the proposed measure in conjunction with the implementation of measure 7.1.8 will reduce the fermentation time to 72 hours, which guarantees the attainment of "unaccounted" economic effect.
